Swansboro Weekend and New Boat!

Hello Everyone. Sorry for the long absence. Here are two pictures from a weekend at Swansboro about three weeks ago. The first one is my brother Jay and I on our new boat. It is a 21 foot Carolina Skiff DLV with a 115 HP Suzuki motor. I will give a shout out to my boy Kipp at Chatlee Marine in Sanford for hooking us up with this sweet boat. If you are looking for a new boat Chatlee is the place to go. This boat is tight! I will have to give all the props to my parents for finally coming through and buying a boat. The unofficial name will be "Carol Anne's Delight" after my mom. The second photo is a family shot in front of the water with our dog Mac. Mac has congestive heart failure. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

**SODA UPDATE**
I tasted Moutain Dew Throwback and it was terrible. The Pepsi version is much better. I did get my hands on Mexican Pepsi and it was exquisite. It brings back memories of soda pop that I had in Brazil. It is much sweeter than soda made with high fructose corn syrup.

Mountain Dew and Pepsi Throwback!!

Here are the bottle/can designs for the newly released Pepsi and Mountain Dew Throwback. They are crucial! I had a Pepsi Throwback the other day. It was pretty good. It is made from natural sugar and not High Fructose Corn Syrup. It does not taste quite as sweet as regular Pepsi. I am about to try the Mountain Dew tonight. I will let you know how that tastes. I am currently on the hunt for Mexican Pepsi. I got one of my boys on the lookout for it. I will update you on the taste.

Blog Kick-Off!!

Welcome to "Meet the Falkers".  I have decided to start a blog for a couple of reasons.  First, because I love reading other people's blogs.  Second, because my wife made fun of me for wanting to start a blog.  And the last reason is to tell anyone who reads this and cares, what is going on in our life.

Now let me give you some quick background information to catch you up on what has happened in the past 10 months.  Meredith and I were married on June 14, 2008 in Rocky Mount, NC.  Rocky Mount just so happens to be "The City on the Rise" if you did not know already.  Sundrop on tap was provided at both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception.

(I will definitely try to keep everyone updated on drink machine and other soda related news in this blog)

We went to Petit St. Vincent in the Grenadines for our honeymoon.  Right above is a picture of the island.  It was tight.  We came back from the honeymoon and moved into our first house on Loblolly Drive in Rocky Mount.  Basically this was a glorified retirement community.  We lived there from the end of June until we moved to Raleigh in August.  God really worked things out beautifully for us as Meredith got a job teaching at Wildwood Forest Elementary and I started working for RN Rouse and Company.  We moved into an apartment in the Brier Creek area around the second week of August.  So from about mid August on we have been living and working in Raleigh.

Here are some pictures from our honeymoon:

I may let Meredith make a guest appearance and write more about the actual wedding and post some pictures.  That about wraps it up for my first ever post.  Future topics of conversation will include soda happenings, nc state sports, my job, inside the life of my friends, "scavage hussle missions", and much much more.  Stay tuned!
